Top 10 Favorite Responses for the Reason Passengers Decline to Wear a Helmet
It has been a while since I’ve posted. So, I figured I’d have a little fun with this one.
We take safety very seriously at High Five. We like to be sure our passengers are given the opportunity and choice to be safe by offering a helmet to each person who takes a tour with us. On our waiver, we ask if everyone would like a helmet. If someone declines the use of a helmet, we require each to give a reason why they’re declining the offer. We get a number of responses such as, “Don’t want to mess up my hair,” and “I feel safe,” or “I trust the driver.” However, as serious as we take safety, there is always room to have a little fun. So, with every serious response we get, there are a number of creative responses as well. In this list, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite creative responses.
Again, I want to reiterate that safety for passengers, motorists, bikers, and pedestrians is a top priority.
So, without further ado, here are my favorite responses…
The List
10. I’m athletic.
9. Rebel for lyfe (actual spelling).
8. My hat is broken in – Size matters.
7. Vanity.
6. I am a coordinated adult. I put on my big girl pants.
5. Surgery on head.
4. I live dangerously.
3. Calculated risk.
2. I let Jesus take the wheel (for the record we don’t have a driver named Jesus).
1. If I got brain damage it would be an improvement.
So, there you have it! Thank you to all who have taken a tour, have a tour scheduled, those who have been thinking about taking a tour and have yet to book one, and those who have no idea who we are or what we do, but smile, wave and take pictures and videos as we roll through Ann Arbor!
feel free to check out our list of tours so you can some day, possibly make the next list! Or even check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages to see what fun people have on High Five Pedal Tours, Ann Arbor, Michigan!
